Beth Hylton is a classically trained actress based in NYC and DC. She earned her MFA at UNC-CH/PlayMakers Rep where she performed such roles as Sorel in HAY FEVER, Georgette in SCHOOL FOR WIVES, Nora in Ingmar Bergman's adaptation of A DOLLS HOUSE and in plays by Shakespeare, Shaw, Chekhov and by contemporary greats as well. Originally from Danville, VA, Beth was raised amidst the storytelling traditions of the Appalachian South, and she developed an ear for dialects and a keen appetite for great stories at at an early age. In addition to her work at PlayMakers, Beth has performed regionally at The Kennedy Center (Eisenhower Theatre), Ford's Theatre, Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, Olney Theatre Center, Folger Theatre, Gulfshore Playhouse, Hippodrome State Theatre, Everyman Theatre, and in Raleigh's Kennedy Theatre. In NYC, Beth was a founding company member of the Ground Floor Theatre Lab, and performed many roles in many original plays with the ensemble. Also in New York, Beth performed with Todo con Nada, Gorilla Rep, the NYC Fringe Festival and at the Ontological-Hysteric off-Broadway. She has performed in workshops and readings at Vital Theatre Company, Arena Stage, the Kennedy Center's Page-to-Stage Festival, Round House Theatre Company and the National New Play Network's annual conference. Beth is a proud member of the Screen Actor's Guild, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and of the Actor's Equity Association.
